Energy Yield Assessment
Ensuring Reliable Energy Production Estimates
Accurate energy yield assessments are critical for evaluating the financial viability of photovoltaic projects. Uncertainties in irradiation data, system design, shading conditions or performance assumptions can significantly affect production forecasts and project bankability.
Developers and investors therefore require reliable and transparent energy production estimates to support investment decisions and project financing.
Voltares provides structured energy yield assessments combining high-quality solar resource data with detailed system modelling and loss analysis. Our approach delivers realistic production forecasts, supports design optimization and provides reliable performance estimates for project evaluation and financing.
Tools
Evaluation of solar irradiation using satellite and meteorological data to determine the available solar resource at the project site.
Simulation of expected electricity production based on system configuration, module and inverter specifications, and site characteristics.
Assessment of system losses including temperature effects, shading, electrical losses, soiling and system availability.
Evaluation of design parameters such as module orientation, tilt angles and layout configuration to optimize energy production.
Preparation of production estimates and technical documentation supporting project financing, due diligence and investment evaluation.
